Hi, I’m Holly!
I’m a wedding and events photographer covering London, Essex, and Kent. As a documentary photographer, I like to think of myself as a professional observer. I take a step back to allow the moment in front of me to unfold, so I can capture it in image form.
About holly
Why documentary photography is my passion
I genuinely believe that photographs are time machines. What better way is there to freeze a moment? Photography lets us return to moments we can’t recreate.
Take my grandparents’ wedding photos, for example. I wasn’t there, of course, but as I look at the images, I can see the powerful connections between family members as they celebrate such a special day.
Looking at these photos, I can feel the warmth, the closeness, and the familiarity.
That’s what I aim to bring to every photograph I take. It might not be possible to remember every single detail of an occasion, but documentary photography can take you back. Photos evoke the feelings of the day so you can relive the butterflies, the joy, and every emotion in between.
Unstaged, unforced, and genuine.
Where my photography journey started
I first started exploring photography in 2015, inspired by my dad’s hobby. I started experimenting on my little iPhone 4s and then got a Canon camera. I’ve been hooked ever since!
What began as curiosity grew into studying photography at university, where I explored different styles and fell in love with how documentary photography highlights fleeting moments and small gestures that say so much.
Now, here I am, honoured to be working as a professional photographer across London, Kent, and Essex.
Over the years, my belief in the powerful medium of photography has only grown. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, taking natural portraits, or carrying out a maternity photoshoot, I’m constantly in awe of how this artform deepens and celebrates memories.
Outside of photography
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually listening to music (anything feel-good is a must), gaming with my friends, or learning about history. I love castles and it’s my dream to visit the Egyptian pyramids one day. I think being curious about people and stories is what keeps me connected, and that curiosity feeds directly into how I photograph the world.
I also work in childcare, so a bit of chaos doesn’t faze me! My background in working with young children has definitely shaped my approach to photography. I’m calm, observant, and supportive, so you can relax in front of the camera and enjoy the experience.
This background means I also understand how overwhelming weddings can feel for little ones! I will always ensure children have the time and space they need so we can capture your beautiful memories in a way that everyone enjoys.
