DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN KENT, LONDON, and ESSEX
Documentary-style wedding photography for relaxed, fun-loving couples.
Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life. Whether you’re saying your vows in an intimate elopement ceremony or celebrating with all your friends and family, it’s a day to enjoy. I want you to be fully present, making the most of every beautiful moment.
Whilst you’re enjoying your day and feeling a mix of emotions, I’ll be there to photograph all those moments you missed; your parents looking on proudly, your friend during the speech she’s been dreading, your cousin living it up on the dance floor.
You won’t have to worry if your guests have had a nice time, they’ll be photos to prove it.
And of course, you’ll get beautiful, natural photos of the two of you too, just without spending your day posing for them.
“We are both smiling/crying happy tears looking at the photos! You have captured the day so amazingly! Thank you so much for these and for taking so much time to get even the smallest detail!”
— Nikki and Rob
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU BOOK A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I understand that booking a photographer can be overwhelming, so I aim to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you think I might just be the wedding photographer for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Get in touch via my contact form, and I’ll send a short questionnaire. This will help me understand a little more about you, your wedding plans, and what you’d like from your wedding photography experience.
We’ll then arrange a call for a relaxed chat so we can get to know each other and you can ask any questions. I’m going to be with you for some of the most meaningful moments of your day, so it’s important that you feel comfortable! The connection we build also helps me tell your story honestly and intentionally through your photographs.
Once you’re ready to book, I’ll send over your contract and booking fee to secure your date.
About a month before the wedding, we’ll have another check-in to go over final details and timings, so everything runs smoothly and you feel completely supported.
MY WEDDING PROCESS ON THE DAY
When the big day arrives, I understand you have plenty on your mind! I’ll quietly slip into the background and capture the moments that genuinely matter. I’ll always be there to guide you when you want support, but this is your time to relax, enjoy, and be yourself.
GROUP PHOTOS
Group photos are a lovely way to get everyone involved. I find keeping this short and efficient (with around 5–10 combinations) is the best way to let you share the moment with your loved ones without being pulled away from the fun for too long.
We’ll move through them calmly and quickly, then everyone can get back to celebrating.
COUPLE’S PHOTOS
In the whirlwind of the day, your couple’s photoshoot is the chance for the two of you to have a shared moment to yourselves. In this moment, you can simply breathe, connect, and create something beautiful without feeling staged.
Again, I keep this quite short. I find that around 10 minutes is all we need to capture those truly gallery-worthy shots that will take you right back to the feeling whenever you look at them.
WHEN YOUR GALLERY ARRIVES
There is nothing more exciting then receiving your gallery. When your email arrives, you’ll find a gallery that has arrived within 6 weeks, with at least 100–500 photos, depending on your package.
The gallery itself? A full reflection of your day, your ceremony, the emotions, group and couple photos, and of course all of those moments you didn’t even know were happening.
SAVE YOUR DATE TODAY
I can’t wait to hear all about your wedding plans and be part of your day. If you’re ready to book one of my wedding photography packages or you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding day. From the moment we made contact and booked, to when we met Holly, the communications were great throughout.
Holly put us completely at ease with her warmth and professionalism.
Holly blended seamlessly into our day, capturing all the little moments as well as the big ones, things we might have missed. But are now memories which we will cherish for ever. The photos are stunning and looking through them feels like reliving our wonderful day all over again. We are so grateful to Holly for taking care of us on our very special wedding day.
We could not recommend Holly more highly to any couple looking for a truly exceptional photographer.

Wedding photography FAQs
-
Traditional wedding photography is mostly planned and posed. The photographer directs you into arrangements, and you spend a good part of the day working through a shot list.
Documentary photography is the opposite. I stay in the background and capture the day as it happens: the laughter, the tears, and the moments happening around you that you’d otherwise miss. You get a gallery that shows how the day actually felt, including the people who celebrated with you.
I’m still there to help when you’d like it. Group photos take about 10 minutes, and I’ll guide you for a few couple portraits if you want them.
-
Every wedding is different, so your gallery is shaped by your day, not a target number. I never cap how many photos you receive, and I focus on telling the full story, from the two of you to everyone who celebrated with you.
As a guide, you can expect at least:
The Moments: 100 photos
The Collection: 300 photos
The True Story: 500 photos
Your photos are delivered in a private online gallery within 6 weeks of your wedding, and you can download them.
The gallery stays online for 12 months, so please download and back up your photos in that time. If you’d like to keep your gallery online for longer, just get in touch.
-
Rain won’t stop us from getting beautiful photos. I’m used to working with whatever the day brings, and some of the best moments happen in the weather, like guests sharing umbrellas and everyone laughing as they run for cover.
We’ll make the most of any indoor space at your venue for your portraits and family photos, and on our call before the wedding we can talk through a rain plan so you feel prepared.
-
The booking fee secures your date and counts towards your total price. It’s fully refundable during the 14-day cooling-off period after you book. After that it’s non-refundable, because I’ve reserved your date and turned other couples away.
If you need to change your date, I’ll do my best to move your booking, and your booking fee transfers to the new date if I’m free and it’s within 12 months.

I photograph weddings across Kent, London and Essex, and travel anywhere within that area is included. Further afield isn’t something I usually cover, but if your day is outside it and you’d love to work together, get in touch and we can talk it through.
Travel outside my usual area is charged, and I’d need a longer booking to make it work.
-
Yes, I carry public liability insurance, and can send a copy of my certificate to you or your venue on request.
I’d also recommend wedding insurance for yourselves, to cover cancellation or changes to your plans.
-
I check and service all my equipment regularly and carry back-up equipment to every wedding, so a technical problem won’t stop me capturing your day.
-
Absolutely! Love is love, and I’m here to help celebrate and document your day, your way.
